This past weekend was the Digital Car National UK meet, and what a great weekend it was.
The weather was great for both days (despite a slightly shaky start, the sun eventually came out and shone all day!), but the evenings/nights were still a touch too cold! Well, it is only the beginning of April!
We were camping - but it wasn't exactly roughing it. We had hot - and i mean BOILING hot - water within 50m of us, flushing toilets, showers, internet access (3G speeds via a mobile phone, I think this is the first time a file has been downloaded at 35k/sec consistantly when in the middle of a campsite!), about 8 laptops, a projector, Xbox, you name it...we had it!
And, of course, A.I.M.E.E was on show, and everyone who saw it in action asked that golden question - when is it available! (Your guess is as good as mine, guesses on a postcard, the closest to the actual release date wins something...a cookie I guess!
)
And, as mentioned before, my Carisma had dual monitors, with A.I.M.E.E running seemlessly on both!
Also, I had some fun with the electric aerial, which was controlled by A.I.M.E.E, people who were leaning near it to look into the boot weren't expecting it to go up!
Andrew's install finally got done...at 1:30pm on the Sunday afternoon, just as voting was due to close...and he won Most Ghetto, probably for actually installing it on the day!
Check out Digital Car for a full review and plenty of pictures from the meet
